Dahab and Red Sea Diving

The Red Sea is one of the best scuba diving sites in the world. Sinai's breath-taking scenery, along with its turquoise-blue water, bright-colored corals and exotic fauna, make diving in Dahab and South Sinai a fantastic experience. Divers from all over the globe come to explore Egypt's famous Red Sea sites such as the Thistlegorm wreck and the Blue Hole. Even if you are here mainly to relax, it is worth rolling over, putting on some scuba gear and plopping in the water to discover a whole new world.

There are approximately 17 dive sites around Dahab. Sites suit all levels of divers, from beginners to advanced/technical. The most popular diving sites include:

  • The Blue Hole: An awesome wall dive for experienced divers only;

  • The Canyon: A spectacular underwater canyon surrounded by coral walls and some interesting marine fauna;

  • Eel Garden: A sandy bottom site, part of it home to a whole bunch of garden eels;

  • The Islands: One of the best-preserved coral in the Red Sea, this labyrinth of coral pinnacles is worth visiting;

  • The Lighthouse: A great site for beginners with a sandy bottom, packed with incredible and colorful fish and other sea creatures, including a resident sea horse.

We work together with Penguin Divers, a professional dive shop located at Penguin Village. Penguin's professional staff will take you to all diving destinations in Dahab, as well as the southern Sinai peninsula, including Ras Abu Galum, Ras Mohamed and the Thistlegorm wreck. The Penguin diving staff are experienced instructors and divemasters and have intimate knowledge of the dive sites in south Sinai.

If scuba is not your cup of tea, snorkeling day trips are available, as well as equipment rental.

The Red Sea offers one of the best diving experiences ever!
