Visiting the White and Colored Canyons is yet another of
Southern Sinai's magnificent
experiences. These wind- and water-carved canyons are striking beautiful and
offer a fun, yet challenging hike.
The canyons are located between Nuweiba and St. Katherine's Protected Area. The names of the canyons come from the bright,
beautiful colors one can observed when inside. Geological features can be
observed closely, while you walk through these canyons.
The trip starts early in the morning, where
you drive towards Nuweiba, then turn towards the Colored Canyon. On your way,
you visit Mushroom Rock. After a stop at the beautiful Ain Khudra Oasis, where
lunch is served, you then hike through the White Canyon.
The trip lasts about 10 hours, so bring plenty
of water! The journey is made on the 4x4, so be prepared for a bumpy ride.
Photographic moments abound here, so make sure you have a fully charged battery!
Cost per person: 20 euros
We also organize desert overnight camping
trips. Please contact us at
rooms@bishbishi.com for more information.
Please note that the canyons are located within the Taba
Protected Area and local nature should be protected and preserved.
