The Protected Area of Ras Abu Galum, South Sinai, is simply
breathtaking: blue-green waters surrounded by stunning red granite mountains. And getting there via camel makes the experience so much better.
Bishbishi organizes trips to both Ras Abu Galum and Gaber el Bint, catering to
your needs and skills.
Your camel trek starts from the Blue Hole,
north of Dahab. You will
then travel north towards the Ras Abu Galum Nature Reserve or Gaber el Bint. For
those of you who aren't keen about taking a camel, it's about an 1.5 hour walk
by the sea. Upon arrival at the Bedouin village, you will have the opportunity
to dive/snorkel during the day, and enjoy a typical Bedouin dinner at night.
Camping out under the countless stars will make this trip a true Sinai
experience.
A typical 2-day diving/camel safari includes:
-
2-4 guided dives
-
Diving/snorkeling equipment
-
Transportation
-
Bedouin dinner under the stars
-
Lunch and breakfast (for 2-day safari)
NOTE: Diving/camel safari
packages are set up to meet individual needs and cost will vary. Please take into consideration that Ras Abu
Galum and Gaber el Bint are protected nature reserves, so please do not litter or contaminate the
water sources. Respecting the local Bedouin culture and traditions only enriches
our experience.
